ST ANDREWS SUNDAY SCHOOL

A Sunday School Meeting for children is held in Churchgate House Centre on three Sunday mornings in each month.  The Family Service is held on the first Sunday in every month and all begin at 10 o'clock.

A team of volunteer leaders conduct the children in various activities which include learning about the Faith of God through Jesus, singing hymns, reading and listening to Bible stories, and participating in appropriate artwork.  The programme follows the liturgy which is adapted to suit all ages, and children may begin Sunday School from the age of three.

The learning groups are not strictly related to age because it has been found that some children prefer to be with an elder sister or brother, and this arrangement has been seen to lead to a happy and relaxed atmosphere for all concerned.

The children are escorted to join their parents, and the congregation for the Blessing in the church at eleven o'clock, parents are then responsible for their children unless a special request is made to the leaders.

The Parish operates a Child Protection Policy to which all the helpers adhere.
