Notices for Sunday 5th October 2008LEPROSY MISSION CHRISTMAS CARDSAs the Leprosy Mission is no longer providing goods on a sale or return basis, the annual coffee morning will not take place. We have instead been provided with catalogues. If anyone would like to take a catalogue to select goods, they are available from Peter Vickers, who will place a collective order at the beginning of November.
TOTS PRAISEThere will be an informal service for parents and toddlers in Church Gate House on Friday 10th October at 1.30pm, followed by drinks and biscuits.
SPIRITUAL CINEMAThe next in this series of films, followed by refreshments and discussion, will be The Mission (Cert. PG), on Wednesday 15th October at 7.00pm in Church Gate House Centre.
THANK YOU!We thank all who have given produce or personal offerings, and those who have worked hard to decorate our church, for this Harvest Thanksgiving. HARVEST GIFTSIf you have brought harvest gifts, please bring them up during the first hymn. The gifts will be distributed to Vaughan House and the Leatherhead Night Hostel and will be greatly appreciated by the homeless people they care for.
SPECIAL PCC MEETINGThere is to be a special PCC meeting in the church immediately following the 10 am service today, Sunday 5th October, to discuss the need for new projection facilities for the Alive@6 services.
ALIVE@6The next in our series of new contemporary worship services is at 6pm next Sunday, 12th October. Information on the service is provided in the newsletter The Message available by the door of the church. We do hope that as many people as possible will support these new services as we look to expand the mission of our church.
BEETLE DRIVEA beetle drive with fish and chip supper will be held in Church Gate House Centre on Tuesday 14th October at 7pm to welcome visitors from Kosova. Tickets will be available soon from Geoff Morris and the Parish Office.
PA ROTA - VOLUNTEERS NEEDEDVolunteers are needed to man the PA control panel at the back of the church during the new informal Alive@6 services, at 6pm on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. Instruction will be given, and no technical knowledge is required! If you would be willing to help, please contact Alan Wiseman (864166) or David Fuge.

TRANSPORT – HELP NEEDEDIf you may be able occasionally to help with transport for those coming to the Friday Lunch Club or to a special service (e.g. Time to Remember), the Pastoral Team would be pleased to hear from you. A message can be left with David Cooke at the Parish Office.
CHRISTMAS TREE AVAILABLEA small Christmas tree is available in the Parish Office for anyone who would like it. See Mabs or the Parish Secretary.

We have had nearly 20,000 visits to our web site and it is fast becoming the first point of contact with St. Andrews for many people. DRESSING-UP MATERIALS NEEDEDThe Mothers' Union are setting up a dressing-up box for the play area at the visits centre at Send Prison. They need fancy dress costumes and suitable dressing-up clothes and accessories for children up to 10 years of age. They would also like material/sheets/curtains in good and clean condition that they can make up into fancy dress costumes/outfits. Policemen outfits, pretend guns and knives cannot be accepted.
