Prayer

Prayer underpins all we do

imagePrayer is central to the practice of our faith at St Andrew’s. These are just some of the ways in which we demonstrate our commitment to prayer.

Prayer Calendar

We have week-by-week prayer calendar covering all the roads in Cobham & many other topics. Click here to download a copy.

Morning and Evening Prayer

Morning Prayer takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 9.00am at St Andrew's and on Thursday mornings at 9.00am at St Mary’s. Evening Prayer takes place at 5pm, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at St Andrew's.

Time to Pray

A number of people have committed to say prayer from an inspirational resource called 'Time to Pray'.   They do this on whichever day(s) is convenient for them.   If you are interested in joining this group please contact Revd Peter Vickers.  Tel: 01932 862497

Prayer Meetings

We have occasional meetings for prayer at other times, currently on an ad-hoc basis publicised in the Weekly News.
Contact Dave Greenwood for more information.

Personal Prayer

Our prayer team is available to pray with you during the 10:00 Holy Communion services.
Prayers can be for healing or for other concerns, for yourself or for others, or to give thanks.
Please go to the far back corner after receiving communion (or a blessing) or after the service.

Prayer Requests

We hope to re-introduce the facility to send in Prayer requests from this website.

You are welcome to leave prayer requests on our cross of prayer in the church or in the prayer basket on the table next to the Prayer Cross. The prayer team will use these to pray for whatever is requested.

Pastoral Assistants

Our pastoral visitors meet each Friday morning to pray for the needs of the church and its community including requests received.

Clergy

Members of our clergy are available for the ministry of reconciliation (otherwise known as confession), the blessing of homes, and other occasional offices. Please contact the Parish Office.
