Giving to the church
Members of St Andrew’s Church contribute to the life and work of the church in many different ways. Whilst the information below relates to financial giving, other pages on this site explain the variety of ways you can get involved and contribute to the life of our church. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to get involved.
How can I give to the work of St Andrew’s Church ?
Money is an essential part of "Generosity and Sacrifice". We have to raise all the income needed to run the church and its ministries ourselves.
A One-off Gift
You can give a one-off gift to the church from this website using our JustGiving site.
Join our Planned Giving Scheme, whether or not you are a tax payer. It gives us a predictability that enables us to budget more effectively.
There are two ways to do this:
a) By setting up a standing order with your bank. You can download a Planned Giving Response form
or you can set up a Standing Order through Online Banking using these details:
Our Bank Account No: 34311203 (Parochial Church Council of Cobham)
Sort Code: 60-06-03 (NatWest Cobham)
b) Through your employers payroll giving scheme (this only applies if your employer runs such a scheme – your Human Resources department can provide details on this).
Other ways to give
- A regular collection is taken at all Sunday services. Please use the yellow giving envelopes provided.
- If you would like to send us a cheque please make it payable to PCC of Cobham and send it to the Treasurer c/o the
- You can give in the form of quoted shares and other securities (which entitles you to tax relief).
- You may also like to consider making a donation to St Andrew’s Church in your will. Please ask your solicitor when you make or change your will, or ask us for more information.
Tax Efficient Giving
If you pay UK tax (Income or Capital Gains Tax) and would like us to be able to claim back the basic rate tax, you will need to fill in, sign and return to us an ongoing Gift Aid declaration if you have not done so already. The benefit to St Andrew’s Church is that it can recover the basic rate of income tax, currently 25p for each pound given. (If you pay higher rate tax, you may recover this through your own tax return.)
St Andrew’s Church is a Registered Charity (Reg Charity No 1130717)
