St Andrew's is an Eco-Congregation
St Andrew's achieved recognition as an Eco-Congregation in 2012 and the award was extended for a further three years in 2016.
The Eco-Congregation Award has been superceded by the Eco-Church awards so we shall need to decide when to apply to be an EcoChurch.
These are schemes run by the Christian environmental charity A Rocha in partnership with the Church of England, Christian Aid & others.
We planted trees
When the adjacent field was cleared and renamed "St Andrew's Field, a team of volunteers planted trees around the edge to form a screen. Some of them were replanted the next year after the floods of 2014 washed a number away.
So what can You do to be more Eco?
