Baptism, Confirmation and MarriageBaptismSt Andrew's has an open policy on baptism and is pleased to baptise children, and adults, who live in the Parish. Baptisms can be arranged by telephoning the Parish Office. Baptisms are held on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. Prior to the baptism parents of candidates and adult candidates are asked to attend a preparation evening. ConfirmationConfirmation represents a further step into the Christian faith. Those promises which were made on our behalf at our baptism, or which we made ourselves if we were older when baptised, are made once more during the confirmation service. Adults not already baptised may be baptised at their confirmation service. Preparation for this important step takes the form of confirmation classes with those who also feel ready to begin this part of the Christian journey. Please contact a member of the clergy for further information. Getting MarriedIf you would like to be married at St. Andrew's either the bride or groom, or both, must live in the Parish, be on the Church's Electoral Roll, or obtain a special licence. Divorced people may be further married at St Andrew's at the discretion of the Rector. If you wish to discuss getting married please contact the Rector. Couples who have chosen to marry at St Andrew's are encouraged to attend a marriage preparation day.
